How the licence will work, from the public opening
- Without a valid licence, Flexway will refuse to start
- No unlimited evaluation mode: the free Developer key will take its place.
- Developer key
- Forbidden in production; 90 days, renewable; planned: Flexway-License: developer response header, a banner in the console, 100 requests per second per replica.
- Business and Enterprise
- At expiry, 30 days of grace with warnings, then Flexway will refuse to start or reload.
- Never a stop in service
- A process serving traffic will never be stopped by an expiry: it will be noticed at the next start or reload.
- One file, mounted as a secret
- The licence will be a file mounted as a secret, its path in flexway.yaml; flexway validate stays usable without a licence. It comes at public opening.
